Hey there! My name is Chris Schurz, and I'm the owner of RVA Productions.

It's tricky to pin down what my first real paid video work was, but I've settled on a wedding in 2011 as being the origin story. After some brushes with traditional full-time work, I knew I wanted to continue to pursue videography, but in a more independent capacity. So in 2015, I went all-in, initially focusing on wedding & sports videography, and haven't looked back.

In 2021, local businesses started reaching out. So along with a trusted team of partners, we've helped businesses large & small, non-profits, athletic organizations, educational institutions, and healthcare providers. From commercials to social media content, and live events to rebranding efforts, we've helped numerous agencies with their video needs.

While RVA Productions is my primary focus, I still spend a lot of time freelancing in sports production. You'll catch me on the sidelines, atop a pressbox, or in a control room helping to broadcast our favorite local teams.​
